Heelstone are a well known family of folk musicians from Wiltshire.  Gareth Harris, Wen Archer & Merv Harris have been performing together for many years and have played at many different venues and events.  Last year they were seen performing at Saul “Folk on the Water” Festival, Swanage Folk Festival, Salisbury Festival & Shaftesbury Arts Centre to name but a few.
They perform a wide range of traditional songs & tunes on acoustic guitar, fiddle & bass.  They also play a selection of great original songs written by Gareth.
There is something for everyone in Heelstone’s repertoire, rousing sea shanties, heart-wrenching love songs, songs of mighty battles, songs of simple country life and foot-stomping fiddle tunes all performed with power, passion, skill, humour & fun.
Heelstone make an excellent choice for any event - don’t miss them!

Just to let you know how much I enjoyed hearing you at the market on Sunday. Unfortunately, we didn’t stand for too long as it was so cold – how on earth did you manage to keep playing?”  A member of the audience at a very cold Hampshire Farmer’s Market

“We all really enjoyed your set and the friendly banter and stuff.” Frank from Warblefly

“Thank you so much for making our wedding reception the cracking party it turned into!  No-one could believe how brilliant you all were and we certainly didn’t want the music to end.  You helped make our wedding a truly brilliant day.  Thank you again.”  Matt & Andrea.

“You guys were so good, I almost danced and at my age that’s amazing!”  A member of the audience at Saul, Folk on the Water Festival 2005.

“Just a thank  you for the lunchtime concert on Saturday. We were enjoying a wet drink (in all senses) outside and heard you on stage and decided to shelter and listen - what a good decision. We'd not heard you before and your mix of good playing, song variety and humour was a real treat, so thank you.”  A member of the audience at a very wet Swanage Festival 2005.

“We really enjoyed your set and are enjoying your album. You have a great style and it’s very refreshing to hear. I really hope you guys get some good recognition, you deserve it.”  Taloch from The Dolmen.

“Heelstone deliver toe-tapping, high energy acoustic folk rock”  Debs from Megson
